Safeguarding Incident Birkdale High School
Dear parents/Carers,
I want to make you aware of an incident that happened last night involving one of our year 7 boys in Bedford park around 3.30 whilst on his way home from school on his bike.
There was a man walking towards him who, as he got nearer, put his hood up, started running towards him and reached out as if to scoop him off his bike. The boy managed to swerve around his reach and pedal away as fast as he could.
The man was in his twenties, wearing a blue hooded jacket, He was white, around 25 years old and around 6 foot tall. He was thin. He had black pants on and red and black trainers.
The incident has been reported to the police
