We feel pupil involvement in decision-making in our school may lead to better relationships, more relevant and effective policies, and a better learning environment. We feel pupils have an important part to play in helping our school to improve in every aspect.

School Governors continue to work with the School Council to improve CTK School

At CTK we are very fortunate to have such an accommodating Governing Body. The School Council members from sixth form and lower school met with the Governors in March and again in May of 2015. The pupils fed back to the governors with any small issues and suggestions that they had received from members in various year groups through the school. The governors have taken on board these conversations and will work with the school SLT to drive the school forward and to produce even more pleasant learning environment for the pupils at CTK.

The School Council members also had the opportunity this term to help with the interview process for our new Deputy Headteacher post. The members devised suitable questions and even took part as a grilling interview panel to help the governors select a suitable candidate.

The school governors and School Council will be meeting again in June in the Headteacher’s office to review this school year.
