Year 7

Pupils will study the Romans, concentrating upon how they conquered and developed Britain.  An independent piece of work will include writing a ‘Roman Magazine’ to show how advanced they were.

Pupils will also learn about Medieval Britain 1066 – 1500, which includes studying Castles, Kings and Queens, as well as health and medicine.

Year 8

Pupils are given the opportunity to study Britain 1500 – 1750, and Britain 1750 – 1900.  Topics include the Tudors and Stuarts, as well as gruesome topics such as Jack the Ripper.

Year 9

Pupils learn about the two World Wars and how they shaped the 20th Century.  Pupils also learn about the events of the Holocaust.
