​Design Technology offers the pupils the chance to experience a wide variety of subjects within the Design Technology umbrella .

It encourages pupils to be creative designers and to have pride in their work when they are producing high quality products, of which great emphasis is placed.

During Key Stage 3 pupils will cover all areas of Design Technology before deciding if they want to continue with Design Technology at GCSE. At the end of their GCSE pupils can progress one of the A Level Design Technology courses we offer.

Assessment
Pupils are assessed on their Researching, Designing, Making and Evaluating knowledge and skills throughout the course, this is mainly done through project work.
Pupils will be given a diagnostic test every half term using past paper questions.
Controlled assessments marked in accordance with WJEC examination board.
